Stone Creek Farm Pony Barn

This barn will be a signature element in the landscape of the owner’s farm. Through careful design and consideration of materials we have created a small, traditional barn that will be sited adjacent to the residence. It will house three stalls, office, kitchen and toilets. Being able to use this barn as an event space was of great importance to the owner. The selection of materials was essential to the owner. The exterior of the building will be cedar wall and roof shingles with four copper dormers. To contrast the walls, the doors will be custom metal with cedar infill. On the interior one of the main elements will be the traditionally joined Douglas-fir timber frame structure that will be contrasted by the exposed wood decking. Extensive wood trim and mill work will be utilized on the interior surfaces of the barn.
