Raines Loft
Lexington, Kentucky

This loft will serve simultaneously as artist studio, office and residence. The final design will be a culmination of past, the existing warehouse space; present, the partially-developed loft space; and future, the desires of the client who is lawyer, psychologist and artist. The architecture consisting of luminous light, filtered spaces with screens and translucent glass will embody how these three worlds merge. The main floor will consist of a kitchen, also serving as a conference area, a living space, an office with a contemplative space attached, a gallery and an outside balcony. The loft area will have a bedroom space, a work area and a meditation space.
